This trip was by far one of the best trips during our time in Australia

This trip was by far one of the best trips during our time in Australia. The zoo itself is definitely a must see and we were lucky enough to even have the Irwin’s perform the croc show which made the trip 10 times better. The zoo is massive but despite the abundance of animals to see and encounter you are given plenty of time to do and see everything. The tour operator also gave us helpful advice on how to plan our day in order to make the best use of our time and avoid the crowds. He also made the journeys there enjoyable and informative. Our personal bits of advice for potential visitors is that if you wish to have an animal encounter (where you get to spend 45 minutes with a certain animal) we would recommend definitely booking online beforehand as we were disappointed when we turned up and the koala encounter was already sold out. Also, the food provided is very limited (mostly burgers, chips, pizzas) so if you have any special dietary requirements (such as gluten-free / coeliac myself) I would advise taking packed lunch for yourself just so you don’t go hungry! Overall though this trip was excellent and the whole day ran completely smoothly.

I enjoyed Australia Zoo

I enjoyed Australia Zoo, Adventuress, viewing the animals at their natural habitat. The Koala bears were so adorable and you could actually pat them. The croc show hosted be Terri was the highlight of my visit. I totally enjoyed it. Unfortunately got deleted the video on my iPad ???? Will definitely return for another visit soo with family. The Driver on our tour bus was very informative, he basically gave us hints of what to do. I followed his instructions and found I had enough time to go around the Zoo and visit the shopping areas before departure.

We had an excellent time at the zoo

We had an excellent time at the zoo. A part that made it particularly awesome was our tour driver Russell. He was funny and informative and provided useful tips to make our day spectacular. Without him we wouldn't have been able to see everything in time. Highly recommend

Caught the croc express from Roma street station to the Australia zoo

Caught the croc express from Roma street station to the Australia zoo. Bus was comfortable and the driver knowledgable. Zoo was good. The zoo map is poor. Very difficult to orient yourself. The zoo could use more signage to help keep you oriented. Seeing the animals was terrific and the animal enclosures well done. Croc show was very interesting All in all a great day. Arrived at the zoo around 1015 due to heavy traffic but still had lots of time to see everything in time to catch the bus back at 1555. We got back to Roma street station around 1715. Bring refillable water bottles and to keep costs down for a family bring along a picnic lunch

Top tips

"Tours depart from the Brisbane Transit Centre, so make sure you allow yourself plenty of time so you don't miss the tour."
